Fitness apparel shoot
HoneyFit
Gold on black, shot in the gym.

A gold honeycomb logo needs the right light or it turns to mustard. We shot the line on athletes and up close, so the color and the stitching hold up on a phone screen.
What we made
- On-model apparel photography
- Product detail frames
- Store and social imagery
The brief
Make the gold read as gold.
HoneyFit's look is gold on black, and the honeycomb crest is the brand. The job was to shoot the line on athletes in the gym without letting the gold go flat or brown, so it reads the same on a phone as it does in hand.
How we approached it
Hold the gold.
Gold print on black fabric is easy to get wrong. Too warm and it goes brown, too flat and it disappears. We lit the line so the honeycomb holds its color on a phone screen.
On-model frames in the gym, then detail frames of the crest and stitching.
What's in the set
On the athletes, then up close.
On-model frames in the gym: women in pink leaning on the equipment, a man in a black tank flexing under the gold crest. Then the product frames a store page needs: the gray cargo joggers, the black mesh shorts with the honeycomb logo, and the back print of the tank.
