Event recap, Evansville IN
Subscription Comics
A meet and greet with Eisner-winning writer Kyle Starks.
Subscription Comics hosted Eisner-winning writer Kyle Starks for a meet and greet and book signing. We filmed the day and cut the recap: the line, the table, the conversations, and the shop itself.
A comic shop is a good room to shoot. Every wall is already art.
What we made
- Event filming
- Vertical recap videos for social
- Shop b-roll
Two cuts
The signing, and the shop.
How we approached it
The line, the table, the shop.
Signings move fast. We covered the line, the table, and the conversations, and shot the shop between rushes so the recap shows where it happened.
Two cuts came out of the day: a recap of the Kyle Starks signing, and a shorter promo for the shop itself.
What's in the set
Collectors, vendors, and the table.
Collectors flipping through long boxes. Vendors behind tables of comics and cards. A collector in glasses and a red cap digging for something specific. The signing itself, and the shop between rushes.
